My note is stuck on "Processing". What should I do?

Processing usually takes a few minutes depending on the length of your content. If it's been more than 15 minutes: check your internet connection, close and reopen the app, and pull down to refresh your notes list. If the issue persists, contact support with your User ID and the note details.

Why can't I import a YouTube video?

Accepted Answer

Some YouTube videos may not be importable due to: private or restricted videos (only public videos can be imported), region-restricted content, very long videos (there may be length limits depending on your plan), or YouTube temporarily blocking extraction. Try a different video or check if the video is publicly accessible.

Question 3

The transcription is in the wrong language. What can I do?

CraftNote auto-detects the spoken language, but sometimes it may pick the wrong one. Before recording, use the language picker on the recording screen and select from the supported languages, or keep Auto for automatic detection. Setting the correct language beforehand significantly improves transcription accuracy.

I'm having network issues or upload failures

If you're experiencing upload failures or network errors: check your VPN (VPNs can cause TLS/SSL errors that block uploads — try disabling your VPN or switching to a different network), switch networks (try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data), and on Android, check if Battery Saver mode is restricting background network activity. Failed uploads are saved locally, so you won't lose your recording.

My recording file is missing or unavailable

Accepted Answer

Your device's system storage cleanup may delete cached files when storage is running low. To avoid losing recordings, upload them promptly after recording. If a recording file is missing, the transcription and AI-generated content (if already processed) are still available in your note.

My uploads keep failing silently with no error. What's going on?

First rule out the common causes: check your internet connection, disable any VPN (VPNs can cause TLS errors that block uploads), switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and on Android make sure Battery Saver isn't restricting the app. Your recordings are kept safe in Settings > Locally Saved Recordings, so you can retry them anytime. If uploads still do nothing after that — no progress, no error — your account may have been automatically restricted for unusual activity. This isn't something you can clear yourself, so please contact support with your User ID and we'll review your account and get you unblocked.
