HR & recruiting questions, answered.
- How does CraftNote help HR and recruiting teams?
- CraftNote records your interviews, 1:1s, performance reviews and exit conversations, then gives you an accurate transcript, a structured summary, and an action-item list for each one. Instead of typing while someone is talking, you can listen and stay present — and still have a searchable record of exactly what was said.
- Are my HR notes private? Who can see them?
- Your notes are private to your account by default — nothing is shared until you choose to share it. Recordings and notes are encrypted in transit and at rest, and recordings are automatically deleted after 60 days. You control every share, and you can delete any note and its audio whenever you want.
- Does a bot join the interview or call?
- Only if you want it to. On Mac and Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc), CraftNote records the call's audio directly, so nothing joins the meeting — useful when you'd rather not have a bot sitting in a candidate call. On mobile, Safari, or for a call you're not attending, you can send an optional bot into the Zoom, Teams or Google Meet interview instead.
- Does CraftNote integrate with our ATS or HRIS?
- CraftNote does not sync directly with an applicant tracking system or HRIS today. Instead, you can export any interview note or summary as a PDF or DOCX, or generate a shareable link, and attach or paste it into your ATS, scorecard or candidate record. Your transcript and summary travel with you in whatever tool your team already uses.
- Can it transcribe interviews in other languages?
- Yes. CraftNote transcribes and translates in 80+ languages with automatic language detection, so a multilingual interview or 1:1 is transcribed accurately and can be summarized in the language you prefer.
- Does it label who said what in an interview?
- Yes. CraftNote separates speakers automatically and can attach real names using your enrolled voiceprints and the meeting's calendar attendees. When the optional bot joins the call, it can also read the participant list for more reliable names — so a panel interview transcript shows exactly who said what.
- Can I use it across a full day of back-to-back interviews?
- Yes. Record each interview as its own session and CraftNote gives you a separate transcript and summary for every one — so at the end of the day your feedback is specific and fair, instead of a blur of "wait, which candidate was that?". Notes sync across your iPhone, Android, Mac and the web.
