Your meetings, written into Notion.
Connect Notion and the in-app chat saves your meeting summaries straight to your workspace — and reads your Notion pages back when you ask. You choose exactly which pages CraftNote can see, and your notes stay yours.
Overview
What connecting Notion does
Once connected, the CraftNote chat works both ways with Notion: ask it to save a summary and it creates a clean Notion page under the destination you pick, or ask a question and it answers from the Notion pages you shared. It’s always on your ask — nothing syncs automatically. Available in the CraftNote desktop app for Mac.
Write summaries to Notion
Ask the chat to save a meeting summary, decisions, or action items and it creates a formatted Notion page — headings, bullets and to-dos preserved — under a page you choose. It can also append to an existing page.
Read from your pages
The chat can pull context straight from the Notion pages you shared to answer a question — “what did we agree in the roadmap doc?” — without copy-paste. It only ever sees the pages you explicitly shared.
Setup · under a minute
Connect Notion
The Notion connector is available in the CraftNote desktop app for Mac. Connecting takes one tap and a Notion consent screen where you choose the pages to share.
Open Connectors
In the CraftNote desktop app (Mac), go to Settings → Connectors and find Notion under “Your tools”.
Notion is a desktop feature — it isn’t in the mobile or web app.
Choose what to share
Click Connect. CraftNote opens Notion’s consent screen in your browser. Pick the pages or databases CraftNote may access — that’s the only thing it can ever see — and approve.
CraftNote only sees the pages you select here. Nothing else in your workspace is reachable.
Chat writes & reads
Back in the chat, ask it to save a summary to Notion or answer from a shared page. Ask it to “save this meeting to Notion” and a new page appears in the destination you picked.
You can point it at a specific page any time, e.g. “add this to my Weekly Notes page”.
Permissions
What CraftNote can and can’t do in Notion
Access is scoped to the pages you shared during connect. Everything below is what the connection allows — and what it deliberately doesn’t.
What Notion can access
Read-onlyScoped to the pages you explicitly shared.
- Read the pages and databases you selected during connect
- Create a new page (summary, action items) under a page you choose
- Append content to a page you point it at
- Read your basic Notion profile name to label the connection
What Notion can’t access
Out of scope, intentionally.
- No access to pages you didn’t share — it can’t see your whole workspace
- No reading or writing outside the pages you selected
- No automatic syncing — it only acts when you ask in the chat
- No access to your Notion account settings or other members’ pages
Control
How to disconnect
You can remove the connection at any time. CraftNote can no longer read or write your Notion until you reconnect — pages already created stay in Notion.
From CraftNote Desktop
Settings → Connectors → Notion → Disconnect
Removes the connection and revokes CraftNote’s access to your Notion. Anything already saved to Notion stays there, untouched.
From Notion
Settings → Connections → CraftNote → Remove
You can also revoke CraftNote from Notion’s own connection settings. Access stops immediately either way.
Troubleshooting
Common questions
What exactly gets saved to Notion?
Only what you ask the chat to save — typically a meeting’s AI summary, decisions, or action items, formatted as a clean Notion page with headings, bullets and to-dos. It’s created under the page you choose. Nothing is saved in the background.
Can it read my whole Notion workspace?
No. CraftNote only ever sees the pages and databases you explicitly select on Notion’s consent screen during connect. It can’t reach anything else in your workspace — add or remove shared pages any time from Notion’s connection settings.
Does it save to Notion automatically after every meeting?
No. Saving is manual and per-note — you ask the chat, e.g. “save this meeting to Notion”, and it creates the page. Nothing syncs in the background.
How does the chat read my Notion pages?
When you ask a question the chat can look at the Notion pages you shared and answer from them, telling you which page it used. It only reads the pages you selected — never the rest of your workspace.
Where do new pages get created?
Under a page you choose. You can set a destination, or point the chat at a specific page in the moment — “add this to my Weekly Notes page”. If it’s unsure, it asks or searches the pages you shared.
Is the Notion connector available on mobile or the web?
No. The Notion connector is in the CraftNote desktop app for Mac. Recording works across devices, but connecting Notion and saving summaries to it is a desktop feature.
